| Sick as a dog...and these stripes, yikes! Brandon called me Hamburgler today... truth! Haha |
Total weight gain/loss: Up 26, I’m finding all the pounds Brandon is losing!
Maternity clothes? My regular work pants are getting close to being put in “the box.” I can still wear them, but, the time is coming…still need to go shopping, but who has time?!
Stretch marks? Nadda!
Sleep: I have a feeling I’ll be getting less and less with our upcoming schedule changes. Or, I’ll literally have to schedule my lunches to be nap times, I love me some naps. In fact, I got to work 15 minutes early today, so I took a quick 10 minute nap before work!
Best moment this week: Well, I don’t know if I’d say best necessarily, but because I decided I love the hospital and wanted desperately to go back, I got hooked up to the baby monitor. I didn’t get to see Baby Vick, but she was active and kicking at the monitor apparently. The nurse warned me that I’m going to have a stubborn sassy girl on my hands- like Mama like Baby right? ---ooh! And I GRADUATED from the Citizen's Academy, woo hoo! (I even got a little certificate) - people in my class joked that Baby Vick should have recieved a certificate too since she attended all the classes, but quickly the instructor responded that "she" didn't register for the class :)
Best (non-pregnancy) moment of the week: Brandon’s running for office! What a whirlwind of an afternoon Friday was. 4:30 I get a call at work, he tells me he’s heard through the grapevine that there’s this opening but you have to officially file by 5pm. It’s something that we’ve discussed in length in the past, but weren’t expecting so soon. My response was “you better get down there!” – and I am really excited for him. It’s a ton of work, it’s exhausting, but getting so he him in his element is one of my favorite things and I know he’d represent our District amazingly well. ….note, if you’re reading this, I’ll also probably be asking you to help! You’ve been warned…
Anything off this list? I cannot, repeat, cannot stay up late and bounce back on a few hours sleep anymore. Tried that and I was dead the entire next day! In fact, to cover up the fact that I was so tired I couldn’t talk straight, I joked I was talking like Yoda because my sentences were coming out so jumbled. “Sleep I need!”
Miss Anything? I don’t think I’ve had time this week to miss anything. I totally missed updating my blog for last week’s post. Sorry about that!
Movement: Absolutely! I was relaxing on my break today and was checking my email while kicking back in our recliner chair at work and I saw my entire stomach move. It. Was. Weird.
Food cravings: Thinking about it, I think I’d say “cravings” wise, I’ve really been drawn to banana anything over the course of this pregnancy. I wouldn’t say I go out of my way to get bananas or banana flavored things, but if they are in my presence, I will eat it, no matter my appetite, or the time of day/night. Emily, thanks for introducing me to the banana chocolate chip muffins, my thighs thank you.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Okay, I forgot to mention this a month ago, but our local WalMart has a Subway inside, like, right when you walk in the door, and it is DISGUSTING! I cannot stand the smell! I always forget until it’s too late too. This weekend, I ran in got smell blasted, got mad because it’s nasty. Came home, realized I forgot something, had to go back, and forgot again – Subway smell, BLEH!
Have you started to show yet: If you think I haven’t, I’ll tell you you’re crazy.
Gender: We’re having a GIRL!
Belly Button in or out? Still an inny for now!
Wedding rings on or off? Ring is on!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Even happier that they figured out what was going on with me. I’ll also say I had a moody moment and was crying on my way to the hospital (the second trip) – not because I was in pain, but because I was pissed off that no one could tell me what was wrong and my doctor’s seemed to be blowing it off like it wasn’t a big deal. Thankfully the ER doctor had some common sense, and some compassion, and figured it out! Glad that happy and healthy Darci is back!
