Thought I’d send a brief little update of the happenings of my life this week! Went to see the Urologist yesterday to see how all my labs came back from this weekend’s adventure. It does appear as though I have a kidney stone that wants to hang out in my kidney…and from what it sounds like, it perfectly content there…for now.  The nurse called me a "Bad Ass" for trying to take on pregnancy AND kidney stones, so I suppose I kind of am.  Haha.  The doctor said it was about 6mm so if it does decide to drop, I’m going to be a little uncomfortable, okay…. a lot uncomfortable! So let’s keep our fingers crossed until at least after September! He also said that my tests from that day came back clean and good – which led him to believe that the pain I experienced was probably me passing a smaller stone this weekend, yeah, I suppose I am a Bad Ass...who just passes a kidney stone like that? This girl apparently. So, all in all, feeling a lot better, and hoping that my stone friend decides to hang out in my kidney for a while.

Now, to the newest pregnancy development…CANKLES. Oh my gosh guys, it’s ridiculous! And it’s not even sweltering summer heat yet, I’m screwed. At noon today they were puffing up and last night I looked like I had Shrek feet. Thankfully I had another doctor’s appointment today so she actually filled out a prescription for compression socks (…I am SO old.) I went to the special boutique place and they fitted and measured me for some “oh so sexy” socks which should help with my new sausage toes. But get this…I haven’t met my deductible for insurance yet (not worried about that at all, I will) but since I haven’t, I have to pay 100% of the cost, which goes towards the deductible… so guess how much these socks are… keep in mind, they’re SOCKS!.... $100!!!!!!! .....WHAT THE?!?! I couldn’t believe it!! After the shock sunk in, I realized its $100 I’m spending one way or the other, but holy smokes… the dryer BETTER not eat one of these socks!

So, all in all, an interesting week. I won’t even go into the “roid” issue, that’s a whole other can of worms that I’m dealing with, but not something you probably want to hear all about… but let’s just say this, I’m learning so much about what happens to “all pregnant ladies” or” most pregnant ladies” and either the doctor is lying to me to make me feel normal…or all of you who’ve done this before are forgetting to tell me about the details!! :)
