Week 15 In Review!

How far along? 15 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Had an appointment this week, she said total weight gain is 7 pounds. (Which is right about where I expected)…those damn Chonga bagels caught up to me! :) The Dr.’s office has some hi-tech flatbed scale which apparently is “more accurate” than my $15 bathroom scale, but I choose to believe my scale (it says I’m 5 pounds lighter!)
Maternity clothes? A friend from work sent me a bag of tanks and clothes that she’d worn while pregnant – it is fantastic because they are work wearable – which means I can start adding some variety into my 8-5 wardrobe!
Stretch marks? Nope! And guess what I bought today on my lunch hour, because I realized I would be reminded while writing this…yep, Vitamin E Oil – this stuff better be worth it!
Sleep: I blame my husband for this – but this whole week I have been having crazy political dreams, and dreams about auctions and caucuses. Seriously?! I also had a reoccurring dream that as Americans, our food that we get imported was being tampered with which actually killed off our ability to reproduce which in turn made us not the #1 country in the world….weird weird weird.
Best moment this week: 10:45 at night, I’m finally home from working on all this auction stuff – husband calls, asks if I want anything from Jack in the Box – I say no (hungry, but not feeling fast food)…he comes home with a fish sandwich combo… I try a bite, and oh. My. Gosh……I want, no I NEED one SO bad… it was delicious. I look at him, and ask what it would take to make him drive back out to get me one… I figure it was a long shot (he always said he wouldn’t be “that guy”)… he totally did, so at almost 11:30 at night, I’m enjoying the BEST fish sandwich I’ve ever had, it was amazing. (Kind of embarrassed my highlight of the week was a fish sandwich…but really, it was more that The Hubs did that for me.)
Have you told family and friends: This weekend is the final reveal…then EVERYONE will know…well, you know. I changed one of my Pinterest boards to “Coming Soon…debuting August 2012” and actually got a few phone calls on that. :) …oh and, I went to a fundraiser last night and saw an old co-worker who came up joking, “I saw your husband over there, I was surprised he had a baby carrier!” ---and I knew he was joking and quickly replied, “oh well, I wouldn’t be expecting that for a few more months.” ----he choked on his drink, totally caught off guard – it was great! (and he was okay).
Miss Anything? Back to tuna, and red wine…
Movement: Still nothing, getting excited to notice it though!
Food cravings: I think I could literally write a whole post on this, it is pretty ridiculous. Jalapenos still, (I made jalapeno mac and cheese the other night, SO GOOD). Oh, and pretty much anything greasy, or cheesy, or totally bad for you. It’s terrible. I was at the store the other day, couldn’t decide what I wanted for lunch, so I bought (no joke) bean burritos, chicken nuggets, lasagna and fettuccini alfredo…and don’t forget the 11pm fast food runs. No wonder I found 2 pounds!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the gut bomb in my stomach after I’ve inhaled the food previously mentioned above. But really, nothing making me queasy! (yay!)
Have you started to show yet: I’d say so.
Gender prediction: Dah…it’s still a toss up, I don’t like being wrong, so I don’t want to guess! But, I did think at the appointment this week that we’d hear the heartbeat and that I could “tell” by the rate – they say above 140 is a girl, below is a boy…guess what Baby Vick’s was?..... of course, 140! So, I can’t even cheat!
Labor Signs: I can’t even feel baby movement, definitely not labor signs!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ha! I forgot about this question… I’d like to think that….80% of the week I was HAPPY! …the other 20% I was, and I totally own, that I was bat shit crazy. I mean, I was flying off the handle. I remember yelling at the remote because it wasn’t working, and then realizing it was the wrong remote. I vented to Brandon about auction forms not being filled out right, and realizing I hadn’t completely read them. My reaction to everything seemed to be… “#$(*@$%*(#$(*....oh... Never mind.” – it literally became comical. Thankfully I’ve reeled that in considerably and next week’s forecast is looking good. LOL
Looking forward to: Besides the auction being over? Haha, I'm totally looking forward to feeling that baby move (or at least knowing what it feels like, so I can know!) And...I'm really getting excited to find out if we have a lil Mr. or Miss ---less than a month! I can't wait!
